Remember that RM 1585 we raised for Japan? Here we have Mr. President handing over the money to World Vision Malaysia Representative, Ms. Tan Shu Yi on the 28th of March 2011. Once again, we have to thank CPU students for being so generous with their wallets. Great job guys! (Note: Earlier post said money was going to Red Cross. Would like to clarify, money given to World Vision)

RM 100 for a team of 8!

POOL TOURNAMENT!

Next up on your events calendar:

8-ball pool tournament! The Friday of us being back in school (1st April) at Club9!

RM 12 per person, first come first serve basis!

Fundraiser for Japan.

We’ve managed to raise RM 1585 over the course of what was only a couple of days! Well done to CPU for rising to the occasion and to the aid of those in distress.

Interesting to note, we even collected 10 Brunei dollars in the batch. Thanks to whoever threw that it, we got it changed at the money exchange :)

All the money raised will be going to the Red Cross. Thank you to all the generous hearts in CPU for making this fundraiser a success.

Dress-Up Week Brainstorm!

Okay, kids, here’s what we have so far…

  • Superheroes & villains day
  • Twins / Triplets day (Where you dress exactly the same as someone else)
  • Sports wear day
  • Wear what your friend decides day
  • MonoColour day (Dress entirely in one colour from head to toe)
  • Pyjama day
  • Signs day (Wear a sign and walk around)
  • Lady Gaga day (Put on something, anything, a’la Gaga)
  • Masked day
  • Nerd day
  • Ninja day
  • Celebrity impersonator day
  • Hippy day
  • Rockstar day
  • Sunglasses day

One day that is CONFIRMED is traditional day (required by the school), so that leaves us with FOUR MORE SLOTS.

Please visit our Facebook page and comment on THIS POST with what you would like to see THE MOST from the above, or a new idea that you’d REALLY like to try. Try not to suggest every idea that comes to mind, as it makes the decision process a lot more difficult :)

Also, if you choose a day, please ensure you will commit to dressing up that day. Nothing quite like selecting an item everyone seems to like and no one participates. And try to consider which days you think other CPU students would enjoy and be able to join in! (For example, several people have expressed that they are uncomfortable with cross-dress day, and spectacles day would just be boring for those who wear glasses everyday)

A few ideas that have been discarded are:

  • Batik day, as not everyone owns batik, and you could choose to wear this during traditional day.
  • Hat day, as this was done last year.

Cheers all, we’re trying to get this done as fast as possible so we can move on to the next event.
